Those of you from outside the Puget Sound region probably think of one word when you hear about Seattle: rain. And for much of the year the region does see its share of rainy and cloudy weather (although our annual rainfall is significantly less than that of New York, Miami or Houston).

However, the Junior Softball World Series takes place in August, the region's most glorious month in the weather calendar. Sunny days are the norm, temperatures average a delightful 75 degrees and Average rainfall in August is a paltry 1.1 inches.
